Rail link to Sikkim

Sikkim is going to be connected with rest of India with broadgauge rail link.  The 52.7 km rail line from Rongpo to Sivak in Sikkim will cost Rs. 1300 crores and is  planned to completed by 2015-16. This project has been approved as National  Project by CCEA headed by PM. Work will start before end of this finacial year. This will be tenth national froject in the northeastern region.
